I believe FRONTIERS is a quality game, but it's not inventive or groundbreaking, so it seems like it would get lost in the shuffle. Game sites / forums / youtube channels? Which ones should I be paying attention to? Which ones are interested in games like mine? This is where I feel the most unplugged.Ĭontests? GDC? I've never been to any before. Last week I created an indiedb profile, but I'm not sure how to make use of it. I think I can cut a mean trailer, the question is where to send it and how to let them know it's coming. Windows / Mac / Linux with no plans for mobile or other platforms.Ī trailer will be ready in 2-3 weeks. (That's padded since I've never done this before.) I'm guessing 4-6 months before it's finished.

So my big questions are: Where do you find the audience for a game like this? How do you try to connect with them, and how do you tell if you're succeeding? My background is in filmmaking & vfx, and I've only developed games privately, so I'm not really plugged in to the gaming community yet. I've been developing FRONTIERS since last year and I'm ready to promote it.
